Driving Diversity and Excellence: DSS and the All-Aboard Alliance

Diana Shipping Services (DSS) is proud to participate in the All-Aboard Alliance through our vessel, M/V Phaidra. Established by maritime leaders during the Global Maritime Forum’s 2020 Virtual High-Level Meeting, the All-Aboard Alliance aims to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the maritime industry, both at sea and onshore.

The All-Aboard Alliance strives to improve DEI across the maritime sector, not only to meet stakeholder expectations but also to bring diverse skills essential for innovation in decarbonization, digitalization, and automation. The initiative emphasizes collaboration to retain existing talent and attract new talent, essential for the industry's sustainable and forward-looking future.

The Alliance operates through a strong platform for collaborative and ambitious action, enabling industry leaders to work together to make their companies and the overall industry more diverse, equitable, and inclusive. This effort is structured around five key principles that member companies integrate into their policies and leadership practices, with annual reporting to ensure accountability and shared learning.

By joining the All-Aboard Alliance, DSS benefits from the collective maritime framework for DEI actions and high-level sharing of best practices among member companies. This platform helps quickly identify and share effective strategies across the industry. Additionally, members have the opportunity to co-develop new insights and practices through the Alliance’s workstreams.
