On November 17, 2023, we partnered with the Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association (HELMEPA) for a Coastal Cleanup Event at the Peace and Friendship Stadium Beach near Piraeus Port in Attica, Greece. This event highlighted our dedication to marine ecosystem protection, an essential part of our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy.

Our team at Diana Shipping Services, along with their families and other HELMEPA member companies, tackled marine pollution head-on. The enthusiasm and dedication of all participants were inspiring as we worked together to make a positive impact on the environment. During the cleanup, we removed significant amounts of plastic and other pollutants from the shoreline, demonstrating the tangible benefits of our efforts. This experience reinforced our shared commitment to protecting marine life.

With 41 years of experience, HELMEPA plays a crucial role in addressing marine litter by monitoring and analyzing debris data. This information helps members like us implement effective interventions to reduce waste and preserve marine health.
